Psoriasis and Warm Weather

Friday, April 25th, 2008

With Spring here, and summer around the corner, those of us afflicted with Psoriasis can’t help but be excited.  Don’t know what I’m talking about?  It’s a fact that the sunlight, and associated heat and warmer weather, positively affect the symptoms of Psoriasis.  There are a variety of reasons for this phenomenon, which include the sunlight on the scalp and other parts of the body from being outside more, to the higher humidity decreasing the overall symptoms, or dryness of the skin.  Anyway, my point is only to be excited about this time of year, as your overall discomfort should decrease in the coming months.

Cold Weather and My Psoriasis

Wednesday, November 14th, 2007

OK, now that the cold weather has arrived, many psoriasis sufferers are dealing with exacerbated symptoms.  Me?  Nothing.  It’s been about 15 months since I was prescribed  shampoo that truly works (read my psoriasis story here), and my scalp psoriasis is completely gone.  I’m actually wearing a black shirt today, and if you didn’t already know that I have psoriasis you would have no idea now.

Suffering from psoriasis?  Have things that have worked for you?  Things that haven’t?  Need to vent?  Please, tell us what you’re thinking, you’re not alone.

Still symptom free!

I have been using the shampoo that I discuss in my psoriasis story for over a year now without a single flare-up!  Bottom line, it works.  I tried so many things with no luck, and I sincerely recommend that you try it, and come back and tell me if it works for you too!  I get nothing out of it, but I know how frustrating it can be for your scalp to itch and you try every product on the market with no luck.  I wear dark shirts, I don’t know when the last time my scalp itched, and I am much less irritable because I don’t have a constant itch to scratch! If this sounds like you, see your dermatologist, and give it a try.  It feels so good to be itch-free!
