Seborrheic Dermatitis Causes

While no consensus has been reached regarding the cause of psoriasis, there appear to be some contributing factors. One explanation relates to an increased oil production in the glands of those that are commonly afflicted. Others believe that this increased oil production includes a fungus that, once treated with an antifungal such as the one that I use to treat my psoriasis, seems to help the symptoms.

Other studies have indicated that, like psoriasis, seborrheic dermatitis outbreaks can be linked to stress, fatigue, cooler weather, and other types of illness.

The bottom line: There is no definitive cause that has been identified.
